GTO Run Row Ride Challenge
Story
GTO Run Row Ride Challenge
Deutsche Bank employees from the Global Technology Operations team in Australia invite Deutsche Bank employees in Sydney to join them in a month-long social challenge to collectively clock up 40,075km – the equivalent distance of the circumference of the globe – through physical activity while raising money for charity.
On Friday 25 October, you can contribute to this goal by participating in a running or walking around The Domain and raise money for our Charities of the Year, Malpa and ActionAid Australia.
Employees can participate in the five kilometre run or three kilometre walk by registering below.
The Run, Row, Ride challenge is now in its fourth year and encourages employees of Deutsche Bank employees to walk, run, row, cycle, swim, dance, take the stairs between floors, or one of the many other ways to accumulate kilometres. The challenge encourages the division work together as a global team, give something back to the community, get involved in a new activity and have fun along the way.

Activity
Deutsche Bank Charities of the Year 2012 (ActionAid Australia & The Malpa Project split charity account)
ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency working in over 40 countries, taking sides with poor people to end poverty and injustice together. ActionAid tackles the root causes of poverty to create long term change for the better in the world's poorest communities. Empowering people to claim their human rights is at the heart of everything ActionAid's work.
The Malpa Project is dedicated to supporting Aboriginal people to help themselves. In partnership with a range of senior elders in Central Australia we have developed the Child Doctors project. This is in response to a situation that is a cause for deep national concern. A few statistics help illustrate the problem. 91% of Aboriginal kids in the NT suffer from Otitis media leading to deafness. 25 % are affected by Trachoma putting them at risk of blindness.
